48-Year-Old Man Killed in Bush Path Attack in Oyo

A 48-year-old man, Peter Baba Danasin, has been killed after two suspected attackers ambushed him and his wife along a bush path in the Igbojaye area of Oyo State.
The incident occurred at about 4 p.m. on Aug. 18, while Danasin and his wife, Benedita Baba, were travelling from their residence in Budo Seweje towards Igbojaye town.
According to police sources, two suspected attackers emerged from the bush and allegedly attacked the couple.
The wife reportedly managed to escape, while Danasin sustained deep machete cuts across various parts of his body.
He was said to have died at the scene from the injuries sustained during the attack.
Following the report, a team of police operatives led by the Deputy Divisional Crime Officer (DCO), Otu Division, rushed to the scene.
The deceased’s body was evacuated and deposited at Fadok Hospital Mortuary, Iseyin, for preservation and autopsy.
The police have commenced investigation and launched efforts to identify and apprehend the perpetrators.
