CAN Panyam District mourns Mangu Market attack victims, calls for stronger security

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Panyam District, has condoled with the families of victims of the recent attack at Mangu Market and the entire Koggul community in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The association made the call in a condolence message following its participation in the mass burial of victims from Koggul Village whose lives were lost in the attack.
CAN Panyam District expressed sympathy with the bereaved families, praying for strength and comfort for those affected by the tragedy, while also wishing those who sustained injuries a speedy recovery.
During its condolence visit, the Christian body urged members of the community to remain steadfast in faith, united and vigilant in protecting one another.
The association also appealed to the Federal Government, Plateau State Government, local government authorities and security agencies to intensify efforts to protect lives and property and take proactive measures to prevent further attacks.
CAN said the Church remained committed to praying for peace, justice, healing and unity across Plateau State and Nigeria, while assuring affected families of its continued prayers and support.
“May the souls of the departed rest in peace. May God comfort every grieving heart, heal the wounded, and preserve His Church and our communities from every form of violence and destruction,” the statement said.
The association further prayed for lasting peace in Mangu and Plateau State and called on all communities to work towards peaceful coexistence and the protection of human life.
