Engineer Killed in Dynamite Explosion at Mining Site in Kaduna

An engineer has died following an accidental dynamite explosion at a mining site in Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Security sources Zagazola Makama that the incident occurred at about 4:00 p.m. on May 11 at a mining site located in Amar Kontagora area of Ninzo Ward in Sanga LGA.
The sources disclosed that troops of Sector 7, Sub-Sector 71 Sanga, responded to reports of the explosion shortly after the incident occurred.
According to the sources, the victim identified as Engr. Oche Ajonbi was hit by the blast during the explosion, leading to his death.
The troops later evacuated the corpse to the General Hospital, Gwantu, for further necessary action.
Security authorities said investigation was ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the explosion and ensure compliance with safety regulations at mining sites within the area.
