Gunmen abduct two residents in Jos North

Gunmen have abducted two residents, identified as Benaiah Bala and Silas Yahaya, from their residence in Kwanga Village, Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The incident occurred at about 10:10 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 13, 2026, near Haske Quarters in the community.
Security sources said troops of Sector 1, Sub-Sector 12, responded to a report of the kidnapping and immediately launched a pursuit of the perpetrators.
However, the troops were unable to establish contact with the fleeing kidnappers.
Security forces are continuing efforts to track the abductors and rescue the two victims.
The latest incident comes amid ongoing security challenges in parts of Plateau State, where security agencies have sustained operations to protect communities and prevent criminal activities.
