Gunmen Abduct Woman, Daughter, Injure Teenager in Kano

The Police Command in Kano State says armed men have abducted a 50-year-old woman and her teenage daughter in Tudun Wada Local Government Area.

 

Sources who confirmed this in Kano on Friday that the incident occurred in the early hours of Aug. 8 at Yarmariya village.

 

He said the hoodlums, armed with dangerous weapons, invaded the residence of Alhaji Audu Shehu at about 1:45 a.m., abducted his wife, Mrs Laure Audu, and 15-year-old daughter, Miss Basira Audu, and shot his 13-year-old son, Ibrahim Audu, in the left leg.

 

Sources said officers from Tudun Wada Division visited the scene and rushed the injured boy to the General Hospital in Tudun Wada, where he was receiving treatment.

 

He added that an investigation was ongoing, with efforts being intensified to rescue the abducted victims and arrest the perpetrators.
