Man, 60, Arrested Over Killing of 12-Year-Old in Gombe

The Gombe State Police Command has arrested a 60-year-old man, Idi Adamu, over the alleged killing of a 12-year-old boy in Zoto village, Yamaltu/Deba Local Government Area.

 

Sources said the incident occurred on Sunday while the victim, Safiyanu Ishaku Umar, was grazing the family’s cow. He was allegedly struck on the head with a stick by the suspect.

 

The boy was rushed to Zambuk Clinic and later referred to Cottage Hospital, Hinna, where he was confirmed dead by a medical doctor.

 

Sources added that Photographs of the scene were taken and the suspect is in custody while investigation continues.
