Man Killed After Electrocuted in Maiduguri

A tragic incident occurred in Maiduguri on Tuesday evening when Alh Umaru Goma, a resident of Meri Area, was electrocuted while working at his zinc tent along Baga Road Market. At approximately 6:30 PM, a live wire accidentally fell onto the roof of his tent, causing the fatal electrocution.
A police patrol team responded to the scene, and the victim was rushed to the State Specialist Hospital Maiduguri, where he was confirmed dead. No signs of violence or foul play were observed.
The body was deposited at the hospital for autopsy and was later released to the family for burial in accordance with Islamic rites..
