Police Arrest Man Over Killing of Younger Brother in Niger State

The Niger State Police Command has arrested a suspect over an alleged case of culpable homicide in Rijau Local Government Area of the state.
Police sources said the incident was reported at about 1630 hours on June 21 at the Rijau Divisional Headquarters by Abubakar Dangiwa of Iri Village.
According to the report, a misunderstanding reportedly occurred earlier that day at about 1500 hours between two brothers, Bello Nani and Babuga Dangiwa, both of the same address.
During the altercation, Bello Nani allegedly macheted his younger brother, Babuga Dangiwa, leading to his death.
Upon receipt of the report, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) mobilised officers to the scene, where the victim was found lifeless.
The body was evacuated to the General Hospital, Tungan-Magajiya, for autopsy and preservation.
The suspect has since been arrested, while investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing.
