Teenager Dies Following Dispute Over Food in Kano Community

The Kano State Police Command has launched an investigation into the death of a 15-year-old boy following a violent altercation among teenagers in Rogo Local Government Area of the state.
Police sources disclosed that the incident occurred at about 9:00 p.m. on June 1 in Gwangwan Village, where a disagreement reportedly arose among a group of teenagers over food.
According to the sources, information about the incident was reported to security authorities by the village head of Gwangwan, Alhaji Muhammad Tukur.
The victim, Ahmed Sulaiman, 15, was said to have been involved in a fight with three other teenagers identified as Abdulaziz Garzali, 13, Amiru Sani, 15, and Habu Mani, 14, all residents of the same community.
Preliminary findings indicated that during the altercation, Abdulaziz allegedly obtained a knife from Habu and used it to attack Ahmed, causing a serious injury.
The victim was immediately rushed to Rogo General Hospital for treatment but was later confirmed dead while receiving medical attention.
Police sources said the suspects have been identified and are assisting investigators as efforts continue to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
The command assured residents that a thorough investigation was underway and that appropriate legal action would be taken based on the outcome of the inquiry.
