Troops arrest six suspected terrorist logistics suppliers, seize Starlink kit, chemicals and farm supplies in Borno

Troops of Operation HADIN KAI have arrested six suspected terrorist logistics suppliers and intercepted a large consignment of materials allegedly destined for Boko Haram elements during a covert operation in the North-East.
Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that the operation followed credible intelligence indicating that terrorist collaborators were making arrangements to receive chemicals, illicit drugs and other logistics for insurgents.
The sources said troops mounted a covert snap stop-and-search checkpoint at about 4:00 p.m. on July 19, leading to the arrest of six suspects travelling in five vehicles.
Items recovered during the operation included 202 cartons of herbicide, one jerrycan of acid, a Starlink wireless internet set, six bags of NPK fertiliser, 10 bags of rice, 50 hoes and 20 packs of knapsack sprayer pumps.
According to the sources, the intercepted materials were suspected to be part of a logistics supply chain intended to sustain terrorist operations in the North-East.
The suspects and all recovered items have been handed over to the military for detailed investigation to determine the intended recipients, establish the network behind the supply chain and identify other collaborators.
Military sources said the operation represents another significant disruption of terrorist logistics networks, noting that sustained intelligence-driven operations remain critical to denying insurgents access to supplies, communications equipment and other resources needed to support their activities.
They added that troops remain on high alert across the theatre, while offensive and intelligence operations continue against terrorist elements and their support networks.
