Troops arrest suspected hoodlum, recover 25 cartridges in Abia

Troops of 144 Battalion (Rear) under Operation CRUSH have arrested a suspected hoodlum and recovered 25 cartridges in Obingwa Local Government Area of Abia State.
Security sources told Zagazola Makama that the suspect was apprehended at about 5:30 p.m. on Sept. 28, 2026, at Ihere Market, following an operation by troops based at Akirika Obu.
The troops recovered 25 cartridges from the suspect during the operation.
The suspect was subsequently handed over to the Nigeria Police, Eastern Ngwa Divisional Headquarters, for further investigation and appropriate action.
