Troops arrest suspected kidnapper in Benue

Troops of Sector 1, Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS), have arrested a suspected kidnapper along the Naka–Ahume road in Gwer West Local Government Area of Benue State.
Security sources said the suspect was apprehended at about 10:30 a.m. on April 26 by troops deployed at Naka while conducting a snap checkpoint operation.
The sources disclosed that the suspect was arrested based on alleged involvement in kidnapping activities in the area.
According to the sources, the suspect is currently in military custody for further investigation and necessary action.
The sources added that troops have intensified surveillance and checkpoint operations along key routes to curb criminal activities.
