Troops Arrest Suspected Terrorist During Operation in Benue

Troops of Sector 1, Operation WHIRL STROKE (OPWS), have arrested a suspected terrorist during an offensive operation in Agatu Local Government Area of Benue State.
Military sources said the operation was conducted at about 9:00 a.m. on May 26 at suspected terrorist enclaves in Odeji and Odugbeho communities.
According to the sources, the operation formed part of ongoing efforts to rid the area of criminal elements and restore security in affected communities.
The sources disclosed that one suspect was apprehended during the operation.
They added that the suspect was currently in the custody of the troops for further investigation and necessary action.
