Troops of Operation HADIN KAI have conducted a clearance operation on a suspected ISWAP camp in Mobbar Local Government Area of Borno State.

Security sources said the operation followed credible intelligence on the establishment of a new terrorist camp at Boada village, located about nine kilometres east of Damasak.

The sources said the operation was carried out at about 8:00 a.m. on April 23 by troops of 145 Battalion (Mechanised), supported by members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF).

According to the sources, the troops advanced to the objective in a convoy of Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicles and gun trucks, where they cleared and exploited the general area.

The troops also extended the operation to Gudusuri and Yelo communities, which were similarly cleared.

The sources said no significant findings were recorded during the operation and no contact was made with the suspected terrorists.
