Troops Facilitate Release of 10 Kidnap Victims in Kaduna

Troops deployed under Operation FANSAN YAMMA (OPFY) have facilitated the safe release of 10 kidnapped victims in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Security sources said the victims were received at about 9:30 a.m. on April 30 by troops on checkpoint duty at Forward Operating Base (FOB) Maro after their release from a suspected terrorist camp.
The sources disclosed that preliminary investigations indicated the victims were abducted on Jan. 4, 2026, at Unguwan Gamu.
According to the sources, the rescued victims were subsequently handed over to a representative of the Chairman of Kajuru Local Government Area for further care and reintegration.
They added that security efforts are ongoing to track down those responsible for the abduction and prevent future incidents in the area.
