By Zagazola Makama
Troops of Operation Enduring Peace have foiled an attempted kidnap and arrested three suspected kidnappers in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Sources told Zagazola Makama that the incident occurred at about 9:15 p.m. on June 24 after a distress call reported an attempted abduction at a residence in Dong village.
The sources said the swift response of security personnel forced the assailants to abandon their mission and flee the scene before the victim could be taken away.
Following information provided by vigilant residents who identified some of the fleeing suspects, security operatives, in collaboration with Operation Rainbow, launched a search-and-arrest operation in the area.
The operation led to the arrest of three suspects identified as Abok Ajiji, 38; Joseph Ajiji, 33; and Chollom Thomas, 37, around the residence of the intended kidnap victim.
The suspects are currently in custody undergoing preliminary investigation, while efforts are ongoing to apprehend other members of the criminal gang who escaped. TO APPREHEND THE FLEEING CRIMINALS.
