Troops intercept illegal oil bunkering equipment in Rivers

Troops of 5 Battalion and 16 Brigade Garrison have uncovered illegal oil bunkering equipment at Okarki Forest in Ahoada West Local Government Area of Rivers State.
Sources said that at about 1:00 p.m., the troops discovered a small drum oven, a small receiver, a coolant, a galvanized pipe estimated at 20 metres, three sacks of suspected illegally refined automotive gas oil (AGO) totaling about 125 litres, and a small waste pit.
The seized items were handled according to operational directives, and investigations are ongoing to identify and apprehend the perpetrators.
