Troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA, in collaboration with personnel of the Nigerian Navy Special Boat Service (NN SBS), have arrested three suspected Lakurawa terrorist informants and logistics suppliers in Kebbi State.

Security sources told Zagazola Makama that the suspects were apprehended at about 10:45 a.m. on July 21 during an intelligence-led operation conducted by troops of Combat Service Intelligence Brigade (CSIB) VII deployed at Kangiwa Village in Arewa Local Government Area.

The sources said the three suspects were believed to be serving as informants and logistics suppliers for members of the Lakurawa terrorist group operating within the area.

Following their arrest, the suspects were handed over to the Nigeria Police Division in Kangiwa for further investigation and possible prosecution.

Military sources said the operation is part of sustained intelligence-driven efforts to dismantle the support networks sustaining terrorist groups, including their informants and logistics suppliers, across the North-West.

The sources added that security forces will continue to target individuals providing intelligence, supplies and other forms of assistance to terrorist groups as part of ongoing operations to restore lasting peace in the region.
