Troops Repel Bandits’ Attack in Katsina

 A coordinated security response has successfully foiled an attempted attack by armed bandits on Sabon Layi and Kakumi villages in Bakori Local Government Area of Katsina State.

 

Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that the attack occurred at about 10:00 AM on March 27, 2025, when bandits stormed the villages, firing sporadically to instill fear among residents.

 

Upon receiving a distress call, a combined team of  the Nigerian Army, police mobile force team from Mabai in Kankara LGA swiftly mobilized to the scene. 

 

They engaged the bandits in a fierce gun battle, overpowering them and forcing them to flee with various degrees of injuries.

 

Authorities confirmed that no security personnel or civilians sustained injuries or fatalities in the exchange.
