Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have sustained aggressive clearance operations across parts of Bursari Local Government Area of Yobe State as part of ongoing efforts to deny insurgents freedom of action in the North-East.

Security sources said the operation, conducted on April 17, involved a battle group comprising about 178 personnel supported by multiple combat and support vehicles.

The troops advanced from their concentration area following a briefing by the Commander of 29 Task Force Brigade and moved through several communities, including Karaga Waro, Kachallari, Moduri, Lewanti and adjoining settlements.

According to the sources, residents were observed going about their normal daily activities across all locations visited, with no hostile engagement or unusual incidents recorded during the exercise.

The operation, described as part of sustained clearance and domination efforts, is aimed at stabilising liberated communities and preventing insurgent regrouping in the area.

Military authorities said troops have continued to maintain pressure on remaining insurgent elements, while ensuring the safety of civilians and the restoration of normal socio-economic activities.
