Troops Sustain Offensive Operations in Kaduna, Advance Through Several Communities

Troops of Sub-Sector 4 have continued offensive operations across parts of Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State as part of ongoing efforts to deny terrorists freedom of movement.
Security sources disclosed that the operation commenced at about 8:30 a.m. on June 23, with troops advancing through Katembi, Agwa Gurma, Ungwan Sule and Gidan Maji communities.
The sources said the troops conducted security sweeps and area domination patrols across the communities during the operation.
According to the sources, the general area was largely deserted, although some residents reported occasional movement of suspected terrorists within the vicinity.
The troops subsequently advanced towards Sabon Chigbolu but were unable to proceed further due to a river obstruction along the route.
The sources noted that no contact was made with suspected terrorists during the operation.
They added that the offensive was part of sustained military efforts to enhance security, gather intelligence and maintain pressure on criminal elements operating within the area.
