Two arrested over separate assault cases in Jos North

Troops of Sector 1, Operation Enduring Peace (OPEP), have arrested two suspects over separate assault incidents in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Security sources told Zagazola Makama that the first incident occurred at about 9:30 p.m. on Oct. 5 at Baduo Community, where troops responded to a report of an assault and arrested a 17-year-old girl, identified as Miss Aliyah Suleiman.
The suspect reportedly attacked Mr Nanle James with a pistol, hitting him on the forehead and inflicting injuries.
The victim was initially rushed to COCIN Hospital, Busa Buji, before he was referred to the Plateau State Hospital for further medical attention.
In a separate incident at about 10:00 p.m. the same day, troops arrested a 35-year-old man, Mr Philip Gambo, of Yelwan Zangam, Jos North, for allegedly assaulting a 30-year-old man, Mr Abdulhamid Abubakar, with a machete.
The victim was evacuated to A-Anun Hospital for medical treatment.
The two suspects remain in custody and are expected to be handed over to the appropriate authorities for further investigation and necessary legal action.
