Adamawa police recover improvised explosive device in Mubi scrap garage

Police in Adamawa State have safely recovered an improvised explosive device (IED) discovered in Mubi Zone.
Sources said the device, identified as an unexploded ordnance projectile, was found on during loading activities at a scrap garage.
The Chairman of Scrap Scavengers in Mubi, Boda Abdullahi, reported the discovery after it was brought to his office by members of the Scavenger Task Force.
Following the report, the EOD team promptly visited the scene, confirmed the nature of the object, and evacuated it for controlled demolition. The area has since been declared calm and safe.
Security sources urged residents to report any suspicious objects to authorities to prevent potential hazards.
