Audacity: Thieves break into Udu High Court offices in Delta, cart away items

Unknown burglars have broken into nine offices at the Otor-Udu High Court in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State, stealing various items, including a cut-to-size gun and court property.
Sources said that the Director of Court, Barrister Evelyn Ekefe, reported to the Onwian Aladja Division on Monday that she discovered the break-in upon arrival at the office at about 10:15 a.m.
She said the thieves stole compressors from exhibit refrigerators, a quantity of court diaries, the gun, and other items yet to be fully ascertained.
Sources said that the DPO of Onwian Aladja Division confirmed that patrol teams were immediately mobilized to the scene, and surrounding bushes were combed for clues. He added that efforts are ongoing to track the fleeing burglars, while investigations have commenced.
Further developments on the case will be communicated as investigations progress.
