Army troops killed Five Boko Haram terrorists while repelling attack on Gwoza community, rifles recovered

Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have nutrialised Five Boko Haram terrorists during an attack on Warave community in Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State on May 16, 2025.

It was gathered that the terrorists launched a sporadic shooting attack at about 1240 hours. The troops accompanied by a combined group of hunters, Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), and vigilantes successfully repelled the assault.

During the confrontation, AK-47 rifle and one locally made gun were recovered from the insurgents.
