Borno: Troops Foil Terrorist Attack on Ngom Town, No Casualties Reported

Troops of Operation Hadin Kai successfully repelled an attack by suspected ISWAP terrorists on Ngom Village in Mafa Local Government Area of Borno State late Friday night.
Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that the insurgents launched the assault around 10:30 p.m., targeting a Forward Operating Base (FOB) manned by Crack Squad personnel. However, the attack was swiftly repelled, forcing the assailants to retreat before reinforcements arrived.
Fortunately, no casualties were recorded among the security forces.
The military has been placed on high alert, and a combined security team is maintaining heightened surveillance in the area to prevent further attacks.
