FCT police raid criminal hideouts, arrest 66 suspects

The Police in the FCF have arrested 66 suspects during coordinated raids on black spots and criminal hideouts across Abuja.

 

Zagazola Makama reports that the operation, which was conducted late Monday night, covered areas under the jurisdiction of Lugbe, Karu, Kurudu, Maitama, Dutse Alhaji, Gwagwa, Dawaki, Nyanya, and Lokogoma Divisions.

 

Sources told Zagazola the raid targeted uncompleted buildings and other suspected criminal enclaves.

 

“During the operation, some quantities of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp and various illicit drugs were recovered. All the suspects are currently in custody undergoing screening and interrogation at their respective divisional headquarters,”said the sources. 

 

The sources said those found culpable would be charged to court, while others would be released after due profiling.
