Fulani bandits kill 49-year-old man in Pankshin, Plateau

Fulani bandits have killed a 49-year-old man, identified as Monday Danladi, in Kromlu Village, Pankshin Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The incident occurred at about 12:30 a.m. on Sept. 21, 2026, when troops of Sector 8, Operation Hakorin Damisa (OPEP), deployed at Fier, responded to a report of an attack and killing in the community.
According to military sources, the troops arrived at the scene and found the victim’s corpse bearing gunshot wounds, while the assailants had already fled the area.
Troops, in collaboration with personnel of Keystone and local hunters, subsequently secured the general area and commenced a manhunt for the attackers.
The remains of the deceased have been deposited at the General Hospital, Pankshin, for further necessary action.
Security forces are continuing efforts to track down the perpetrators and establish the circumstances surrounding the killing.
