Police Arrest Teenager Over Alleged Inciting Remarks in Katsina

The Katsina State Police Command has arrested an 18-year-old man for allegedly making inciting remarks during a religious preaching session in Kambarawa area of the state.
Police sources said the incident was reported at about 1200 hours on June 21 at the Makera Division by Zulai Murtala of Kambarawa area.
According to sources, the suspect, Ahmed Sani, 18, of the same address, was alleged to have made statements considered disrespectful during a preaching session, which prompted a complaint to the police.
Following the report, the suspect was promptly trailed and arrested by operatives.
The police said the suspect voluntarily admitted to the allegation during preliminary questioning.
Authorities stated that investigation into the matter is ongoing, while further developments would be communicated in due course.
The command assured residents of its commitment to maintaining peace and public order across the state.
