Sea Pirates Dressed in Military Camouflage, Abduct 13 Passengers and Boat Operator in Rivers

Thirteen passengers and a boat operator were abducted by sea pirates on May 6, 2025, at approximately 1215hrs, along Isaka River in Okrika Local Government Area, Rivers State.
Sources told Zagazola Makama that the attack occurred when a passenger speed boat, Blessing & Happy Marine, operated by Benjamin Alabotubo, was en route from Port Harcourt (PH) to Bille town.
The assailants, dressed in military uniforms, stormed the vessel, abducting all thirteen passengers onboard, as well as the boat operator, and took them to an unknown destination.
Troops were mobilsed to scene and efforts has been intensified to rescue the victims, recover the boat, and apprehend the perpetrators.
