Suspected Fulani Bandits attack two men in Plateau, one killed

Troops of Sector 4, Operation SAFE HAVEN, have responded to an attack on two civilians by suspected Fulani bandits at Marit Junction in Dorowa Babuje, Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Military sources told Zagazola Makama that the incident occurred at about 4:33 p.m. on Sept. 5, when unidentified gunmen attacked the victims, identified as Mr Umra Yakubu and Nandom Jibir.
The troops quickly responded to the distress call, forcing the attackers to flee the area.
The troops subsequently combed the location and found the two victims with gunshot wounds.
They were immediately evacuated to the General Hospital, Barkin Ladi, for medical attention.
However, Nandom Jibir was later confirmed dead at the hospital.
The troops have since intensified patrols and are dominating the general area of Dorowa Babuje in an effort to track down and apprehend the perpetrators.
Security forces are also maintaining vigilance in the area to prevent further attacks and restore confidence among residents.
