The troops’ swift intervention forced the unidentified attackers to flee the area.

During an exploitation of the location, the troops rescued one of the victims, identified as Mustapha Ali, who had sustained a gunshot wound to his leg.

The rescued victim told the troops that he was travelling with Alhaji Wadda on a motorcycle after delivering cattle at Katume Fulani settlement when they were ambushed by unidentified persons along the road.

Ali was immediately evacuated to the 3 Division Medical Centre for medical attention.

Meanwhile, the troops have continued to dominate the general area with offensive operations and a manhunt for the fleeing attackers.

Security forces are also working to identify the perpetrators and prevent further attacks along the route.
