Troops Arrest Five Suspected Vandals in Bayelsa

Troops of 5 Battalion deployed at LNG Gbaram have arrested five suspected vandals in Gbarantoru community, Yenagoa Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.
Military sources said the troops responded to intelligence reports on the movement of suspected vandals at about 4:10 a.m. on May 25.
According to the sources, the suspects were apprehended while allegedly vandalising underground facilities within the area.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspects had posed a persistent threat to facilities belonging to the company operating in the area.
The troops recovered three hand-cutting equipment, two saws and cutlasses, among other items, during the operation.
The sources added that the suspects and recovered items had been handed over to the Nigeria Police for further investigation and necessary action.
