Troops Arrest Suspect with Firearm, Cash in Kaduna

Troops of Operation Forest Yakin (OPFY) have arrested a suspected criminal in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State during a routine checkpoint operation.
Security sources told Zagazola that the suspect was apprehended at about 12:00 p.m. on April 26 at Forward Operating Base (FOB) Sabon Birni while attempting to pass through a military checkpoint.
The sources said the troops intercepted the individual and, upon a search, recovered a locally fabricated pistol, a cutlass, one mobile phone and the sum of N154,800.
According to the sources, the suspect and the recovered items are currently in military custody pending further investigation and necessary action.
