Troops arrest suspected cattle rustler in Kaduna

Troops of Sector 7, Operation WHIRL PUNCH, have arrested a suspected cattle rustler in connection with the theft of cattle belonging to Alhaji Muhammadu Hussaini in Jankasa village, Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Security sources told Zagazola Makama that the incident occurred at about 4:05 p.m. on Sept. 25, 2026, following a report of cattle rustling in the community.
The troops deployed in Zangon Kataf swiftly mobilised to the area and arrested a suspect identified as Idi Abdulkarim in connection with the incident.
The suspect is currently in military custody and undergoing interrogation to establish his involvement in the alleged cattle rustling and identify possible accomplices.
Security forces are sustaining operations in the area to curb cattle theft and other criminal activities.
