Troops Arrest Suspected Drug Peddler in Jos North, Recover Illicit Substances

Troops of Operation Enduring Peace (OPEP), Sector 1, have arrested a suspected drug peddler in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State, with substances suspected to be Indian hemp and other illicit drugs recovered.
Security sources said the suspect, identified as Mohammed Ibrahim, was arrested on June 16 at about 1:00 p.m. during a routine operation at Congo-Russia area of the state.
The troops reportedly recovered quantities of substances suspected to be Indian hemp and other illicit drugs in his possession.
The suspect was immediately taken into custody, while the recovered exhibits were secured for further investigation and analysis.
Security authorities said the arrest is part of ongoing efforts to curb drug-related crimes and enhance public safety in the area.
