Troops arrest suspected kidnappers’ informant in Kaduna

Troops of Sector 7, Sub-Sector 71, Operation SAFE HAVEN, have arrested a suspected informant working with kidnappers in Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The suspect, identified as 21-year-old Matthew Waziri, was arrested at Sabon Gida Village at about 9:40 a.m. on Sept. 3, 2026.
According to security sources, the arrest followed intelligence provided by the Department of State Services (DSS), Gwantu.
The troops subsequently took the suspect into custody, where he is currently undergoing interrogation to establish his alleged links and activities.
Security agencies are expected to further exploit the information obtained from the suspect as part of efforts to disrupt kidnapping networks operating in the area.
