Troops Arrest Three Suspected Terror Collaborators in Enugu, Destroy Shrine

Troops of the Nigerian Army have arrested three suspected terror collaborators during a cordon and search operation in Ezeagu Local Government Area of Enugu State.
Security sources said the operation was conducted at about 11:20 a.m. on May 1 by troops of Sector 1 comprising 82 Division Garrison, 103 Battalion (Rear) and 197 Special Forces Battalion.
The sources disclosed that the operation targeted Imези community following intelligence on suspected terrorist collaboration in the area.
According to the sources, three suspects were arrested during the exercise, while a shrine believed to be used for criminal activities was destroyed.
They added that three mobile phones were recovered from the suspects during the operation.
The sources further said the suspects and recovered items are currently in custody for further investigation and possible prosecution.
Security operations in the area are ongoing to ensure continued stability and prevent resurgence of criminal activity.
