Troops of Sector 4, Sub-Sector 41, have arrested three persons during a raid on a suspected criminal hideout following the killing of a 17-year-old, Peter Gyang, at Kafi-Abu village in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State.

The operation was launched on Saturday, Sept. 12, following intelligence on the isolated attack in which Gyang was killed by unidentified criminal elements at Kafi-Abu.

Troops subsequently conducted a raid on Kedawa, a settlement identified as a possible route used by the perpetrators to access Kafi-Abu and escape after carrying out the attack.

During the operation, soldiers arrested three suspects identified as 69-year-old Yakubu Jaoji, 28-year-old Mukadas Abubakar and 56-year-old Muhammad Hassan.

The suspects were taken into custody and profiled for further action as investigations continue to establish their possible links to the killing.

The raid forms part of ongoing efforts by security forces to track down perpetrators of attacks in the Barkin Ladi area and prevent further violence between communities.

Troops have continued to dominate the general area while investigations are ongoing.
