Troops Foil Kidnap Attempt, Rescue Two Victims in Niger State

Troops of the 102 Guards Battalion under Operation MESA have foiled a kidnap attempt and rescued two victims during a swift response operation in Tafa Local Government Area of Niger State.
Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that the incident occurred at about 3:05 a.m. on July 15 at Agwan Tomato, where troops responded to reports of kidnapping activities.
The troops successfully disrupted the operation of the suspected kidnappers and rescued the two victims unharmed.
The assailants fled the scene following the intervention of the troops, while efforts are ongoing to track and apprehend the fleeing suspects.
The operation underscores the continued efforts of security forces to curb kidnapping and protect lives and property along the Abuja–Kaduna corridor and surrounding communities.
