Troops foil kidnapping, rescue three victims in Benue

Troops of Sector 1, Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS), have foiled a kidnapping attempt and rescued three victims at Tse Ogar, Naka, in Gwer West Local Government Area of Benue State.
Security sources told Zagazola Makama that the operation was carried out at about 5:35 p.m. on Sept. 3, 2026.
The troops, deployed at Naka, responded swiftly to the kidnapping incident and successfully rescued the three victims.
The rescued victims were subsequently released to reunite with their families.
The operation underscores the continued efforts by troops of Operation Whirl Stroke to protect communities and deny criminal elements freedom of action across the state.
