Troops Intercept Motorcycles Bound for Terrorist Kingpin, Arrest Four Suspected Logistics Suppliers in Kebbi

Troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA have intercepted a consignment of motorcycles allegedly destined for a notorious terrorist leader and arrested four suspected logistics suppliers in Kebbi State.
Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that the operation was carried out at about 3:00 p.m. on July 19 by troops of the 8 General Task Force Battalion deployed at Forward Operating Base (FOB) Walkam.
The sources said the troops intercepted a white commercial bus conveying 10 motorcycles along the Biu–Kangiwa Road in Arewa Dandi Local Government Area following credible intelligence.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the motorcycles were allegedly being transported for delivery to Mallam Gehowa, a suspected notorious terrorist kingpin operating in the Amogoro area.
During the operation, troops apprehended four suspected terrorist logistics suppliers, believed to be agents of the suspected kingpin, who had reportedly been mobilised to receive the motorcycles.
The suspects, along with the intercepted motorcycles and other recovered items, were subsequently handed over to the Department of State Services (DSS) in Kebbi State for further investigation and prosecution.
Military sources said the interception is part of ongoing efforts by Operation FANSAN YAMMA to disrupt terrorist logistics networks, deny criminal groups access to mobility assets, and dismantle support structures sustaining banditry and terrorism across the North-West.
