Troops of Sector 4, Sub-Sector 41, Operation Enduring Peace (OPEP), have recovered nine cattle following a report of farm destruction at Razat Village in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State.

A military source told Zagazola Makama that the troops responded to the report at about 3:00 p.m. on August 11, 2026, and mobilised to the affected community.

Upon arrival, the troops found nine cattle allegedly grazing on farmland, while the herder fled after sighting the security personnel.

The troops subsequently moved the cattle to their location for amicable resolution of the dispute between the affected farmers and the cattle owner.

The development comes amid efforts by security forces in Plateau State to prevent escalation of farmer-herder disputes and promote peaceful resolution of conflicts involving agricultural communities and livestock owners.
