Troops investigate destruction of maize farm in Plateau

Troops of Sector 5, Operation Enduring Peace (OPEP), have commenced efforts to track down unidentified criminals responsible for the destruction of a maize farm in Waya Village, Mangor District, Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The troops responded at about 1:50 p.m. on Sept. 5, 2026, following a report of malicious farm destruction in the area.
Upon arrival at the location, the troops discovered that a maize farm had been destroyed with machetes by unidentified persons.
Efforts are ongoing to identify and apprehend the perpetrators, while security presence has been sustained in the area to prevent further attacks on farming activities.
