Troops Neutralise Suspected Bandits, Recover Weapons in Kwara Offensive Operation

Troops of Operation Savannah Shield have recorded success in an offensive operation against suspected armed criminals in Patigi Local Government Area of Kwara State.
Security sources said that the operation was conducted at about 7:30 a.m. on April 26 at Latan Daji and Lata Forest.
The sources said the troops, who moved into the forest axis during the operation, made contact with the suspected bandits and engaged them in a gun duel.
“During the encounter, three motorcycles were recovered from the fleeing criminals after they were forced to withdraw from the area,” the sources said.
The troops have since secured the recovered items, while follow-up operations are ongoing to clear the forest and deny the criminals freedom of action in the area.
