Troops recover 11 rustled cattle from terrorists in Kaduna

Troops of 4 Demo Battalion under Operation FANSAN YAMMA have recovered 11 cattle suspected to have been rustled by terrorists in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Security sources told Zagazola Makama that the recovery followed credible information on cattle-rustling activities at Katabu Pole Wire village.
The troops, operating from a checkpoint at Maraban Jos, intercepted the terrorists at about 1:48 a.m. on Sept. 28, 2026, while they were attempting to cross with the cattle.
The troops engaged the terrorists in a gun battle, forcing them to abandon the 11 cattle and flee the area.
The recovered cattle were subsequently handed over to their rightful owners.
