Troops recover 41 rustled cattle in Plateau

Troops of Sector 2, Operation Enduring Peace (OPEP), in collaboration with local vigilantes, have recovered 41 rustled cattle in Wase Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Security sources said the recovery was made at about 7:30 a.m. on April 27 during a fighting patrol along the Bangalala–Adua road.
The sources disclosed that the troops sighted the cattle abandoned by suspected terrorists, who fled on noticing the advancing security personnel.
According to the sources, the cattle were successfully recovered and are currently in the custody of the troops pending further necessary action.
The sources added that patrols have been intensified in the area to deter further incidents of cattle rustling and other criminal activities.
