Troops Recover Abandoned Boxer Motorcycle in Plateau

Troops of Operation ENDURING PEACE have recovered an abandoned Boxer motorcycle after intercepting two suspected individuals along a road in Jos East Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The incident occurred at about 9:20 p.m. on August 23, 2026, when troops of Sector 1, Sub-Sector 12, deployed at Kudedu, observed two suspicious men with a motorcycle near a bush along the Federe axis.
Upon approaching the location, the suspects reportedly abandoned the motorcycle and fled into the surrounding bush.
The troops conducted a search of the area but were unable to establish contact with the fleeing suspects.
The abandoned Boxer motorcycle was subsequently recovered and taken into custody for further investigation and necessary action.
The recovery forms part of ongoing night patrol and surveillance operations by troops to deny criminal elements freedom of movement and prevent attacks in vulnerable communities across the Plateau operational area.
