Troops Rescue Kidnap Victim After Foiling Abduction in Kaduna

Troops of Operation Enduring Peace have rescued a kidnap victim after foiling an abduction attempt along the Gidan Waya–Nisama road in Jema’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Sources told Zagazola Makama that the incident occurred at about 8:00 p.m. on June 24, following a report of suspected kidnappers operating along the highway.
The sources said security personnel responded swiftly to the scene, where they found a J5 vehicle loaded with onions that had been intercepted by the armed criminals.
On sighting the approaching security team, the kidnappers fled into nearby bushes but had already abducted one occupant of the vehicle.
A pursuit was immediately launched, forcing the fleeing suspects to abandon the victim due to sustained pressure from the security operatives.
The kidnapped victim was rescued unhurt and reunited with safety, while efforts are ongoing to track down and arrest the fleeing suspects.
Security sources said investigations into the incident are continuing.
