Troops respond to shooting incident in Kaduna community

Troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA have responded to a distress call following reports of sporadic gunfire in Makyali Community, Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Security sources said the incident occurred at about 11:00 p.m. on April 17, when troops deployed in Sector 1 moved swiftly to the area after receiving alerts from residents.
On arrival, the troops gathered that suspected terrorists had fired sporadically at locals while moving across the Kachia–Kaduna highway through the community toward the Agwala Forest.
No contact was established with the fleeing assailants.
The troops, however, maintained a strong presence in the general area to prevent further attacks and deny the criminals freedom of action.
They added that troops remain vigilant and committed to protecting lives and property, while urging residents to continue providing timely information to security agencies.
